Dear ELOY Friends
The new year has started and we believe that it is time, to inform you
about the band's next steps. The three concerts in January are likely to be the last
played by the band unfortunately! The reasons for this are:
Firstly, among other things, Frank has realised along with the other
members of the band that the rock opera project »The Vision, The Sword And The
Pyre« about Joan of Arc has been continuously postponed since the nineties. This
project alone requires an enormous commitment, the time frame for which is not yet clear.
Of course there will be at some point a CD/DVD of it. You can expect it to be a work that
is sure to interest every ELOY fan, since it is ultimately comes from the pen of the
mastermind and is thus also strongly influenced by the musical spirit of the band. Frank
is, in his own words, for the first time again since

»Time To Turn«
dealing with such a complex subject, which he has described as biggest challenge of his
career. During this phase (at least 1 year!), in which he fully intends to seal himself
off from the world, there can be no other activities.
After this, another ELOY album is planned providing a kind of
»ultimate musical statement from the band« and reflecting the strongest and
most intense moments of the band's history. At least 10 months must safely be calculated
for this!
In order to somewhat bridge this time we are planning to release a new
edition of »Chronicles« as a double CD with a different tracklist and also
re-recorded tracks of previous albums with the original band as well as various remixes.
So there will be no complete radio silence with respect to the band, promised!
As the consequences of the accident in March 2012 are unfortunately
still causing problems (there is a further operation and hospital stay in spring 2013),
Frank cannot know if it is possible for him to continue to perform live after the
above-mentioned activities. In this respect, an additional big question mark hangs over
the band's future concerts. So if you want to experience live ELOY again, you are well
advised to attend one of the three concerts in January – 23.01. Cologne (sold out!),
24.01. Bielefeld or 25.01. Mannheim. Frank promises that he'll once again be on top form
on stage.
The set list for these shows has again been expanded and the most
brilliant program that the band has ever offered can be expected. The line up on stage
is also absolutely outstanding! For the first time there are 6 (!) band musicians on the
stage, all members from the strongest periods of the band's history. The festival concerts
in 2011 and autumn 2012 have already shown a large extent, what will be on offer.
A live recording of the shows in Cologne and Mannheim (most likely to be
the band’s last concert!) is also planned from which a top-quality live double CD/DVD
will be made.
Since the capacity at each venue is limited, tickets for the shows will
not be on sale indefinitely. So please do not count on the box office, as long as there
are tickets available in advance - after that sold out is sold out! The band cannot, as
in 2012 at Cologne and Mainz, simply move to bigger venues, as there are no alternative
spaces available. We still have tickets available for you at the online shop while
supplies last.
So, it only remains to greet you warmly from the band and wish you a
terrific 2013.

THE FAN SURPRISE
Due to continuous requests for a live CD/DVD, we now have (with the
permission of the band) a compilation of the concerts at Loreley 2011 and 2012 Mainz for
you in a limited edition of 1000 copies. This lovingly prepared DVD documentary is now
available for the first time at the merchandise stands at the venues in Cologne, Bielefeld,
Mannheim, and, while supplies last (!), here at the online shop for € 15 (incl. VAT, plus
packing & shipping). Since this article is an authorized bootleg product for fans by fans,
it will of course not be available commercially. The material from Mainz was recorded
privately and kindly made available for this purpose. Although it doesn't have a high
sound quality, as only the hall sound was recorded by simple means, the singular
atmosphere of the evening was captured in stunning quality.

Dear ELOY Friends
For more than a year, it had disappeared from the shelves of record stores.
It was considered »sold out« or even »deleted« in the catalogue lists
of the record industry. The album »The Tides Return Forever«, which is considered
one of the best works in the discography of the band, had become virtually inaccessible to
interested ELOY fans lacking this jewel in their collection. On the second hand market, it
was being traded at astronomical prices and the chance of still getting hold of a copy in
reasonable condition increasingly headed towards zero.

Artist Station Records has now addressed this problem and is releasing
the newly remastered album towards the year’s end, making it affordable to everyone once
again. ELOY mastermind Frank Bornemann has even managed a really impressive remix of the
grandiose title track as a bonus track, making this work highly recommended for any
Prog Rock fan and a must for any ELOY fan.
»The Tides Return Forever« is unquestionably among the
absolute highlights of this musical genre and is guaranteed not only to thrill ELOY
fans with its impressive compositions, excellent sound creations and unique atmospheres.
Surely this record is one of the best works this internationally recognised rock legend
from Germany ever released.
